HVAC Install & Technician
Description
The HVAC Install and Technician program equips students with the essential skills to become valuable members of an installation team, focusing on both residential and light commercial systems. The program offers hands-on training in proper installation, system start-up, and troubleshooting to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction while minimizing callbacks. Students gain expertise in brazing, refrigerant recovery and charging, airflow measurement, ductwork installation, low-voltage controls, basic electricity, and sheet metal fitting construction. Certifications such as Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for refrigerant handling, NOCTI HVAC Installation and Start-Up, OSHA-10, and the NATE Ready to Work are available. Additionally, the program may count for up to one year of the three-year Mechanical Journeyman's License apprenticeship.
