Description

In the Cabinetmaking and Carpentry program prepares students for careers in both residentials and commercial construction trades. Students gain hands-on experience in a variety of key skills, including safety practices, blueprint reading, materials estimating, and both basic and advanced framing. The also learn interior and exterior finishing, with opportunities to apply their knowledge in the shop and on-location projects such as home building. In the Cabinetmaking portion, student dive into the craft and science of cabinet construction, with a focus on print reading, design, layout, and finishing techniques. They specialize in producing fine cabinetry and furniture, using methods, materials, machinery, joinery, and precise assembly to create high-quality, flawless products. This program emphasizes practical experience and skill development in both fields.
