Therefore, we are adding a new program to our menu of services! We will be hosting the EMPOWER Academy for adults. The program is designed to help adult students improve reading, writing, speaking and comprehension as well as to attain a diploma, and prepare for the GED/HISET. Four sessions are planned for the 2022-2023 school year. Each session is 8-weeks and open to students who need support to become self-sufficient and employable. The program will be located in the Business Development Center under the direction of Dianna Boeckman. Classes allow for individual differences and academic levels which will require the teaching expertise of Kenny Shade. Kenny will be working closely with students in the EMPOWER Academy so that they get the individualized attention they need. Students finishing this program will have intensive career counseling and short-term career options once they earn their high school diploma.
