Description

The Cybersecurity and Network Administration program will prepare students to plan, implement, monitor, and coordinate security measures for computer networks and information. They will gain an understanding of the principles of risk management, security architectures, incident handling, disaster recovery and secure systems administration. Students study the typical aspects of information technology audits and apply their knowledge to manage the risk of security attacks and implement appropriate compliance policies and strategies. Students will also prepare to build simple LANS and perform basic configuration for routers and switches along with basic network troubleshooting. They may also cover the WAN technologies and network services employed by converged applications in a complex network.

Applicants must complete a SouthernTech Application for Admission. Additional information and applications are available at the SouthernTech campus and online at www.sotech.edu. Enrollment for this career program is open to adults and partnering High Schools (juniors/seniors).

Additional costs may include books, supplies, and miscellaneous fees.
